My first and last atempt at sculpture

I so loved this piece that ended up in a trillion bits..

It took me about 4 weeks of solid work to hand scult this large frame, I had intended it to be gilded and made into a mirror frame... I fashioned it from clay, thats why this photo shows it sitting on the plastic and newspapers that I worked on.

I needed it to dry naturally since I didnt have a Kiln (pottery oven), so I placed it in the attic out of harms way while it set and dry solid .. Then I was going to seal it with some sort of hardening glaze and gild it..

Unbeknownst to me my brother went up into the attic to poke around looking for something and he crawled right over my art, smashing it into a trillion pieces.. Oh well... That knocked the urge to try sculpture right out of me to this day! LOL.. Im sure Ill getover it one day and try again.. I hope so, I know Id LOVE to...
