Well, its 1am in La La land and I just finished my first two White Flower Lei candles for my first candle customer Annette Leggett! I made them with my very own hands in my kitchen!

Its a landmark moment that I wanted to share with you all, Im off and running into my new commercial handmade candle business.. Yipppeeeeeeeeee

Ive been testing like mad for about a year now.. Ive tried three candles companies and couldnt find the wax I wanted, nor the strength of fragrance. Go figure.. none of the companies would make the candles strong enough.. Dont know why, I did ask, for 8-10% infact.. Eventually I threw my hands in the air and buckled down to see if I could learn to make them myself.. Hm, its NOT as easy as you may think! VERY tricky indeed!

Ha ha, my flat looks like a chapel, there are so many candles everywhere.. AND pots and pans, reams of kitchen towels, different sorts of wax in massive boxes, a plethora of scented oils, scales, thermometers, packets of every type of wick on Earth, utensils, books, papers, notes, testing glasses and jars, charts on the walls... hee hee, its like a laboratory here and IM LOVING IT!! Its satisfying my artistic soul..

In the past when Ive taken candles to my appearances, they have been ones that I have commissioned using my fragrance oils.. But it became too costly and I was unable to wholesale because of the price of the some of the VERY expensive oils on top of the cost of the manufacturing.. Making the candles myself gives me an opportunity to wholesale because I cut out one of the middlemen, so to speak! I still have to purchase the outrageously expensive fragrance oils $90-120 a POUND, but those fragrances are out-of -this-world they are so beautiful! The star is the Gardenia, Magnolia and Frangipani blend.. WOW its divine.. I just popped one on the doormat of my neighbor who is moving tomorrow, boy will thy get a lovely surprise in the morning when they are all tired and wretched from packing all night.. Hee hee

Now the next step for me is to get some sleep.. LOL..
